Thornton on why he chose the Maple Leafs: 'I need to win a Stanley Cup'

While newly-signed Toronto Maple Leafs centre Joe Thornton admitted there was a family element to his reasoning behind signing with the club, being from St. Thomas, Ontario, Thornton said the main reason he made the decision was the quality of the team.
