Leafs admit they’re ready to name a captain and ‘end the speculation’
Toronto StarThe Leafs have been without a captain since Dion Phaneuf was traded in February 2016. Auston Matthews, Morgan Rielly and John Tavares, who had previously captained the New York Islanders, are the leading candidates.
