Maple Leafs’ Nylander has family history with Capitals’ Backstrom

The first sporting battles featuring Nicklas Backstrom and William Nylander were waged a long way from the Stanley Cup playoffs. They happened several years ago on a ping pong table in the basement of the Nylander family home in the D.C. suburbs.
